Baptism is the sacrament that marks the beginning of the entire Christian life, and is the first of the sacraments of initiation. In Baptism we are freed from sin and become sons and daughters of God. In the sacrament we receive the very life of God, become part of the Body of Christ, become members of the Church, and are classed to share in its mission. Catechism of the Catholic Church, nos. 1213-1284

The Church celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism for all ages. Adults seeking Baptism enroll in the RCIA program. Children ages 7 and older seeking Baptism enroll in our RCIC program.

The Sacrament of Baptism for infants and young children until the age of six are held two Sundays each month in the Church.

Registration at The Church of the Epiphany. Believing that the fostering of faith happens within the parish community and universal church, we require a commitment to the parish. To register go to the home page and click on “Becoming a Member” or call the parish office for a registration form.

Baptism Preparation Class

This class is required for parents/guardians. We honor your role as parents/guardians and seek to support you in the faith development and experience of the child and family. The class is held each month on a Saturday morning in the Hearth Room from 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. This class will prepare you on the theology of the sacrament, review the Rite of Baptism and set a path toward fulfilling the vow to raise the child in the faith. If you have attended this class within the last three years you do not have to repeat it, but are most welcome to attend. We encourage both parents to attend.  Please RSVP for the class.  Contact Jill.
