Faith formation is engaged in continuing the mission of Jesus Christ through evangelization and catechesis. We are called to form catechetical leaders that serve families in the parish with elementary children in grades 1-5 who attend public schools.
Our religion program, A Call to Faith, is coordinated with the program of Epiphany School. this curriculum supports a catechetical process which connects faith and life. It provides a comprehensive presentation of doctrine, scripture, morality, prayer, and sacraments taught in age appropriate ways.
Elementary religion classes are offered three times during the week:
- Tuesdays 6:30- 7:45 p.m.
- Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:15 p.m.
- Wednesdays 6:45 - 8:00 p.m.
Catechists are recruited from the parish. They participate in an interview and a workshop before classes begin. As with all our parish volunteers who work with children, catechists undergo a criminal background check and are expected to participate in a three hour awareness training session called Protecting All God's Children.
