Faith Formation at EpiphanyRegistration materials for our 2010-2011 school year, please click here. Welcome to our parish faith formation department. Our goal in "making Jesus Christ known and loved" is to assist adults, teens and children on their conversion and faith journey. We offer formal class sessions for children aged 3 – high school, preparation for Baptism, Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Our youth ministry programs include open youth rooms, retreats, service, activities, mission trips, lock-ins, snow tubing, Valley Fair, a 30 hour famine, youth rally and peer ministry. During the summer our families enjoy a week of Vacation Bible School. We offer numerous adult faith formation opportunities. Adults who wish to be confirmed or join our Catholic Church (RCIA) have special programs. Please review the different areas of our ministry and feel free to contact any staff member. In order to provide our numerous programs, we rely on hundreds of dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in learning more about the various areas to volunteer, please contact the faith formation office (763.862.4335). Support and training are provided. The Faith Formation attendance line number is 763.862.4337. Faith Formation Advisory CommitteeThe Faith Formation Advisory Committee is comprised of five parishioners who are appointed by the pastor to advise the director on actualizing the department’s mission. Members are: Beth Plante, Charlie Nichols, Erin Welters, Jim Miller and Mary Powell. They meet the first Tuesday of the month from September – May, except December, from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. There is an open forum time at each meeting for parishioners to address the committee. If you would like to address the committee, please contact Katie Gebhard at least five days before the meeting. She can be reached at either 763.862.4335 or kgebhard@epiphanymn.org. Volunteers and VirtusWe value the safety of all our parishioners. The archdiocese now requires all adult volunteers working with our children and teens to have a background check, take a ‘Virtus’ class and sign a code of conduct. All teen volunteers need to have 2 letters of reference and to sign a code of conduct. Please go to the ‘Virtus’ website to view and register for upcoming trainings (www.virtus.org).
