Faith Formation at Epiphany

The schedule of classes for each grade level can be found on the appropriate pages - see the links on the left side of this page to navigate to those program pages.

Sacramental Registration Deadline:
Registered parishioner families with children and/or teenagers preparing to receive reconciliation, Eucharist, and/or confirmation during the 2011-2012 faith formation year must register for faith formation no later than Saturday, October 1, 2011. Those registering after October 1, 2011 will celebrate sacraments in the 2012-2013 year.  This is to ensure all our parishioners are properly prepared to encounter our Lord in the sacraments.  Epiphany School students do not need to register for faith formation, as their school enrollment suffices.  Students in grade 10 attending public and charter schools must register by October 1.  Students in frade 10 attending home-school and Catholic high school must also register by October 1, but will only attend the special confirmation sessions in addition to the faith formation they receive at home or school.  Special sacramental meetings begin in October.  Contact Katie with questions: 763.862.4335 or kgebhard@epiphanymn.org.

Welcome to our parish faith formation department. Our goal in "making Jesus Christ known and loved" is to assist adults, teens and children on their conversion and faith journey. We offer formal class sessions for children aged 3 – high school, preparation for Baptism, Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Our youth ministry programs include open youth rooms, retreats, service, activities, mission trips, lock-ins, snow tubing, Valley Fair, a 30 hour famine, youth rally and peer ministry. During the summer our families enjoy a week of Vacation Bible School. We offer numerous adult faith formation opportunities. Adults who wish to be confirmed or join our Catholic Church (RCIA) have special programs. Please review the different areas of our ministry and feel free to contact any staff member.

In order to provide our numerous programs, we rely on hundreds of dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in learning more about the various areas to volunteer, please contact the faith formation office (763.862.4331). Support and training are provided.

The Faith Formation attendance line number is 763.862.4337.

Faith Formation Advisory Committee

The Faith Formation Advisory Committee is comprised of five parishioners who are appointed by the pastor to advise the director on actualizing the department’s mission. Members are: Beth Plante, Charlie Nichols, Mary Powell, Angela Thiel and Sara Westling.   We meet from 5:15 – 6:45, on the first Tuesday of the month from September – May, except December. There is an open forum time at each meeting for parishioners to address the committee. If you would like to address the committee, please contact Katie Gebhard at least five days before the meeting. She can be reached at either 763.862.4335 or kgebhard@epiphanymn.org.

Volunteers and Virtus

We value the safety of all our parishioners. The archdiocese now requires all adult volunteers working with our children and teens to have a background check, take a ‘Virtus’ class and sign a code of conduct. All teen volunteers need to have 2 letters of reference  and to sign a code of conduct. Please go to the ‘Virtus’ website to view and register for upcoming trainings (www.virtus.org).
