First Sacraments - Reconciliation and Eucharist

Most children begin and complete this preparation process in second grade. Besides the classroom instruction in school, faith formation or home school, children receive ongoing help at home from their parents. Materials are provided by the parish.

Parent participation is an essential component of sacramental formation and preparation.

Here are the dates for 2008:

• April 6, 20 and 27 (12:15 mass)- First Eucharist (rehearsals on April 5, 19, 26 at 9:30 a.m.)

Older children who have not received these sacraments participate in a special class (Wednesdays, 6:45-8:00 ) designed to meet the needs of older students.. Parents also participate and help their children at home throughout the program.

If your child was not baptized as a baby, the faith formation staff invites and welcomes you to our 2007-2008 programs. We have a special process to help parents prepare children second grade and older for the sacraments.
