Besides the classroom instruction in school, faith formation or home school, children receive ongoing help at home from their parents. Materials are provided by the parish. Parent participation is an essential component of sacramental formation and preparation. Older children who have not received these sacraments participate in a special class (Wednesdays, 6:45-8:00 ) designed to meet the needs of older students.. Parents also participate and help their children at home throughout the program. Baptism of older children and youth: Families with school-aged children or youth participate in an adapted RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) process. Important parts of this process are regular Sunday Mass participation, Wednesday evening peer-group classes, and home conversations and prayer.
