Spiritual Fitness Physical FitnessFinancial Fitness Weekly Challenges Pledge card Other ways of giving |
Fit by 50 Update14%. What if only 14% those who signed up to work a shift at Springfest, showed up this past weekend? We wouldn’t have been able even open up the event. What if only 14% of those who usually attend Sunday Mass, came this weekend? The pews would seem awfully empty. What if only 14% of our normal donut order was delivered for hospitality? Most of us would go home hungry after Mass. You might be wondering what the point is to these questions. We are three months into our Fit by 50 campaign and 14% of parishioners have returned their Fit by 50 pledge cards. Other area Catholic churches that have held campaigns have averaged a pledge card return rate of 45 – 50%. During the planning, the Fit by 50 committee looked at other area churches and felt very strongly that our Epiphany parishioners would exceed any of their results. They recognized the pride our parishioners have in this parish and the consistent response our parishioners have when they know there is a need. Thank you to each of you who have already made a pledge. To make Fit by 50 successful we need participation from everyone in our Epiphany community. We need to receive a pledge card back from everyone. We need everyone praying that this campaign is a success. We need to make Epiphany Fit by 50. Fit by 50 three month summary:
Why Fit by 50?Fitness is something we all can understand. Some of us may have personal fitness goals. Many of us have that never-ending home improvement list. Most of us have spiritual goals to improve our prayer lives. Often, these goals find themselves on the “someday” lists of life. The Church of the Epiphany is no different. As a church family it’s time to make our goals a reality and our 50th anniversary is a natural milestone to achieve them. Let’s all work together to make Epiphany Fit by 50. Physical Fitness50 years ago the space where Epiphany is located was an empty farm field. Since that time, many hands have worked together to create the current facility. As with any building, our parish home is aging and with age comes repairs. We must maintain these buildings so they can be used for many generations to come. Financial FitnessOur charter members of this parish had a vision of what Epiphany would become. They took many leaps of faith to create that vision. As always, each of us needs rely on our faith and make a financial commitment to help Epiphany decrease our debt and in turn increase our ability to remain a parish with educational priorities that manifests Christ to all. Spiritual FitnessOur love of God and our Catholicism has always been our foundation at Epiphany. God is continuously calling each of us to grow in our love of Him. We challenge each of you to think of your own personal spirituality. In what ways can you become more spiritually fit? In what ways can you grow in your love of God? |
