Faith Formation Volunteer Opportunities

The Faith Formation Department coordinates a variety of programs for people from aged 4 through adulthood. Hundreds of volunteers devote time to share their faith and life with all of us. We are eternally grateful to them. Those who work with minors and vulnerable adults are required by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis to have a background check, take ‘Virtus Training’ (Protection of children from child sexual abuse) and sign a code of conduct.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Catechist (teacher)
Sundays during the 8:45 and 10:30 Masses and
from 7 – 8:30pm
Tuesday nights from 6:30 – 7:45
Wednesday nights, from 5:00 – 6:15 and 6:45 – 8:00 Ideally we would have 2 catechists in each room so they can act as a team.

Classroom Assistants: during all sessions to help the catechist

Music Leaders: Sunday mornings leading several classrooms of children

Child Care: during all sessions to care for children of the catechists
