Music Ministries at EpiphanyFor more information about any of the music ministries listed below please conatct Anne Phillips at 763.862.4312. Here is the schedule for the music groups at Epiphany Masses Parish Choir: The Parish Choir leads congregational song and provides special music at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Choir members need to be at least 16 years of age. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30. The Choir also presents an annual Easter Cantata in collaboration with other parishes, as part of the Epiphany Concert Series.
Lifeteen Worship Band: The Lifeteen Worship Band leads the congregation in worship at the 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening mass, and also leads worship at XLT and other youth events. They play primarily contemporary worship music in various styles. Participants must be adults and have been out of the youth program one full year. An interview and audition is required to join. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 10:00.
Heaven Sent: Heaven Sent is a contemporary ensemble that provides uplifting worship using a blend of traditional and current-style music at the 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening mass three times a month. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00.
St. Cecilia Choir: The St. Cecilia Choir is comprised of youth in grades 6 – 12. They lead congregational song and provide special music at the 12:15 Sunday mass. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 6 – 7:15.
Children’s Choir: The Children’s Choir is comprised of children in grades 1-5. They lead congregational song and provide special music at the 8:45 a.m. Sunday mass once a month. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 6 – 7.
Celebration Ringers: The Celebration Ringers are a hand bell choir that provides special music at liturgies throughout the year. Members need not have experience ringing bells, but it is helpful if they read music. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7:30 – 9:00.
King’s Men: King’s Men are a men’s quartet that leads congregational song and provides special music at the 8:45 a.m. Sunday mass once a month. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings prior to the Parish Choir rehearsal.
Women of Worship: Women of Worship is a women’s small group that leads congregational song and provides special music at the 8:45 a.m. Sunday mass once a month. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings prior to the Parish Choir rehearsal.
Resurrection Schola: The Resurrection Schola sings for funeral liturgies at Epiphany. Members are called as funerals occur and meet one half-hour prior to the funeral to rehearse. Members are not expected to sing for every funeral due to their inconsistent scheduling.
In Nomine Patris: In Nomine Patris is a contemporary ensemble that leads worship using a blend of gospel and traditional music at the 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening mass once a month. Rehearsals are one Wednesday a month from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Faithful Friends: Faithful Friends is a small mixed ensemble that leads congregational song and provides special music at the 8:45 a.m. Sunday mass once a month.
Cantors/Instrumentalists: Cantors lead congregational song at various liturgies throughout the year, most often during the summer months. Training is provided. Instrumentalists add to the beauty of the liturgy by sharing their gifts, especially during our Feast Day celebrations. |
