If you accept a position at the Church of the Epiphany, you will be asked to sit in on a live VIRTUS Training, perform a background check and credit check if you will be working with money, and also to sign a Pastoral Code of Conduct.  In some positions, a physical is required.

You are able to register for the training, get a background check and sign the code of conduct all online at www.virtus.org.  Here is a guide to help you with the process.  During this process you’ll watch a short video regarding the code of conduct and answer some questions for mandatory reporting.

FT Temporary, Summer Outside Crew

Performs general outdoor duties in maintaining church and school buildings to maintain a safe, secure, clean and orderly facility.  Provides assistance to staff and visitors. Keep the grounds looking nice. .

Teacher, 6-8 Grade Language Arts

This is a full time position teaching Language Arts to grades 6-8. Language Arts incorporates the study of reading, writing, grammar, and communication. Duties of this job include but are not limited to:

  • Daily instruction of students
  • Curriculum development and alignment
  • Differentiating instruction for students of differing abilities
  • Creating and assessing student work
  • Being available to meet with students outside of class for additional support
  • Participating in two staff committees throughout the year
  • Being in charge of a daily homeroom class
  • Participating in mandatory outside of school events (parent/teacher conferences, open houses, literacy night, etc.)

Job Qualifications

  • Licensed in Middle School Language Arts or Communications
  • Be an active and practicing Catholic
  • Possess excellent speaking and writing skills and have the same high expectations of students
  • Be enthusiastic about reading and teaching to MN state standards in Language Arts
  • Encourages students to think independently and to express original ideas
  • Knowledge or experience in implementing classical language arts curriculum

Preschool / School Age
Teacher or Assistant Teacher or Aide, Temporary Position

The Epiphany School Readiness Preschool and Extended Day Programs seek an enthusiastic individual to work with 3-12 year olds in a state licensed, nationally accredited Catholic preschool program and high quality, well-established school age program. Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate educational and recreational activities, encouraging learning through hands-on activities and employing best practices to help each child reach his/her potential. Must meet DHS qualifications; experience working in a preschool or school age setting helpful. Knowledge of DHS Rule 3, Parent Aware and NAEYC accreditation standards a plus. Must be a practicing Roman Catholic. Wage DOQ; 20-40 hrs/wk.
