Funeral Service Ministry:Members of the ministry create and serve a warm and loving lunch service at the time of the funeral. The members are called to set tables, serve food and beverages, and provide clean up following the luncheon. Each funeral luncheon commands 3 – 4 service hours. To best serve the grieving family, each member must be mobile and able to stand during the lunch service. Members are rotated for service. Notice is generally 2 – 3 days prior to funeral service. Please contact the stewardship office at 763.862.4346 to become involved. Funeral Food Ministry: Members donate salads, cakes, bars and rolls to be served by the Funeral Service Ministry at the time of the funeral. The food donors supply dishes based on the variety and amounted needed for the funeral. For example: salads, bars etc. The parish office contacts the members 2 – 3 days prior to funeral service. Food items can be brought to the parish office the night before or the morning of the funeral. Cash donations are also accepted to support the funeral fund. Items purchased from the funeral fund include supplies for hot dishes. Please contact the stewardship office at 763.862.4346 to become involved. Meals on Wheels is a community based ministry that delivers hot noon meals to the elderly and shut-ins in the communities of Coon Rapids and Blaine. Epiphany drives thwelve times a year in two week shifts. Meals are picked up at Camilia Rose around 11:30 each day. Each route takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver or if you are in need of having noon lunches delivered each day please call the parish office at 763.755.1020 or call Helen Heisler at 763.755.5134. North Metro Job Networking Group: Are you unemployed or do you know someone who is seeking employment? This is a support group for everyone. The North Metro Job Networking Group meets at Epiphany every Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We meet in rooms 709-711. We have guest speakers and ask that everyone bring a copy of your most current resume along with a positive attitude. Professional assistance is given with resumes, cover letters, and interview techniques. Also we address general questions about unemployment and discuss things you can do to help yourself stand out amongst the crowd in a professional, positive way. We have weekly job postings available as well as contacts in our database for your use to get your foot in the door directly with the hiring manager. There are also many more resources available for your free use. Our group has been published on CTN – TV and we are open to the public. Becoming a contact person is easy and painless: Communion Ministry: Eucharistic Ministers bring communion to the homebound, hospitals, nursing homes, and the Epiphany Assisted Living.
