The Epiphany School Readiness Preschool Program will begin registration for the 2008-2009 school year on Tuesday, January 29. To request a registration form, call 763.755.7341 . Forms can be mailed or picked up in person; first-come, first serve basis.

Program History and Description

The Epiphany Extended Day Program, a non-profit organization that began in 1987, was established out of a need and a concern for quality care of children before and after school. The program specializes in school age care providing an educational and recreational setting which targets the needs of kindergarten through sixth grade students. The primary focus is on social and emotional development. Many fundamental life skills are taught through a variety of opportunities to explore new choices and discover new skills. Some of these skills include:

Effective communication
Respect for self and others
Non-violent conflict resolution
Healthy emotional expression
Service to others and our community
Empathy toward others
Self-discipline

We operate with a staff-to-child ratio of 1-to-12, which allows for special individualized attention. The focus on social and emotional development within a caring and nurturing environment makes this a unique and valuable experience.

Extended Day Program Mission Statement

“We as a caring Christian community want to meet the needs of our parish by providing a high quality school age extended day program. Our program seeks to meet the needs of working parents and their children by supplementing their school day with before and after school care. Based upon a holistic approach, our program will focus on the child’s total well-being (including social, physical, emotional and spiritual health). Epiphany’s Extended Day Program will enhance the partnership between work, families and school.”

Program Hours, Days of Operation, Ages Served

The Epiphany Extended Day Program is open to the community and operates Monday through Friday, 6am-6pm on school days, most school-release days and throughout the summer. The program is available to kindergarten-sixth grade students. Children may begin as early as the summer before their kindergarten year and may remain with the program until the last day of their sixth grade. Students who attend the program have the opportunity to participate in a variety of planned activities designed to enrich and complement their school day experience.

Rate and Registration Information

The program is completely supported by parent fees. Registration will take place mid-to-late January. All children MUST pre-register.
